The City of Plainfield Implementation Plan
The City of Plainfield has developed a list of “Shovel Ready” projects. The purpose of the Plainfield “Shovel Ready” list is to identify potential projects that may qualify for funding under the ARRA. The “Shovel Ready “ list is not an application for funding, rather it is a planning tool that can be used to assist in applications for grant funding that will be available through various Federal and State agencies.
Citizens should not be confused by various list’s circulating the internet. These are just a list of potential projects and are not an application for funding. There are links on these pages that will provide you with the appropriate websites to obtain information on stimulus funding.
Currently, Federal and State agencies are in various stages of the developing their grant funding mechanisms to distribute ARRA funds. One of the purposes of this website is to provide a communication tool that will identify the funding opportunities available and the action taken by the City of Plainfield to secure funding.
